New Albany, OH: The 2023 New Albany Founder’s Day Grand Marshals are Dennis and Teresa Keesee. If you have ever visited Eagle Pizza located at 2 N. High Street you may have encountered them there, as they are the owners of this New Albany tradition. At age eleven Dennis started working at Eagles when his parents Marjorie and Tom Keesee acquired the business in 1971.
Dennis graduated from New Albany High School in 1977 and started managing the business that year. Twenty years ago this coming July 4th Teresa & Dennis were married on Culp’s Hill upon the Gettysburg National Military Park.

Teresa is a native of Lost Creek, West Virginia where she graduated in 1990 but has lived in the Columbus area for almost thirty years. Between the two they are the parents of three children, Corey, Rachel (Adam Savage), and Megan (Keith Moody) plus two grand children Mack and Delta Savage.
Dennis is currently President of the New Albany-Plain Township Historical Society, which is so fitting as everyone knows that this historian and author loves history. In fact his family goes back in the New Albany Plain Township area to 1818. Throughout the years Eagles has been decorated with many history displays that Dennis and Teresa have created.
The couple also takes pride in knowing they have hired hundreds of area youth to work in their two restaurants and knowing for many it is there first job.
