New Albany, OH: New Albany Founders Day is pleased to recognize Neighborhood Bridges New Albany as the 2024 Community Connection Award Honoree.

The mission of Neighborhood Bridges is to bridge communities with schools by providing basic needs, removing barriers, and seeking equity for students so they can engage and succeed in school and life.

The organization will be recognized at the New Albany Founders Day Festival and The Dr. Glyde A. Marsh New Albany Founders Day Parade on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Rose Run Park in New Albany.

Launched in May of 2019, Neighborhood Bridges New Albany has partnered with the New Albany-Plain Local School District and New Albany Food Pantry to directly impact more than 5,600 local students/families in need.

A volunteer-run organization, Neighborhood Bridges New Albany has supported more than $500,000 in direct giving in less than five years.

About New Albany Founders Day:

Founders Day has been celebrating New Albany and Plain Township’s history at its annual festival each year since 1976. The parade and festival welcome about 7,000 people each year and will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2024. The parade and the festival both begin at 11:00 AM.
