PHYLLIS AND HARRY SAGE NAMED 2017 FOUNDERS DAY GRAND MARSHALS

New Albany, OH: Phyllis and Harry Sage were longtime residents of New Albany, moving here in 1985, and have continued their dedication to the New Albany Schools and community.

Phyllis, a registered nurse, has held several volunteer positions over the years, including the founding of the Just Say No program at NAES, head room mother of the NAES PTO, running the New Albany Food Coop, tee ball coach and league administrator, and countless volunteer roles at New Albany athletic events.

After a career in corporate America, Harry became a bus driver at New Albany in 1998, a position he held until his retirement in 2016. He has been active in New Albany youth sports, coaching tee ball, JV softball coach (2000-2002), middle school girls basketball coach, and an assistant coach for the varsity girls basketball team the high school from (1997-2007). He also worked with the athletic department for 15 years. Since his retirement, Harry can still be seen around the schools serving as a substitute teacher and volunteer at athletic events.

The Sages have two daughters, Jennifer, a teacher at New Albany High School, and Amanda, a marketing consultant. They now live in Sunbury with their two dogs, Puck and Mason.
